about
It all started in 2006 when I began my close cooperation with Jarek Grzesica, the president of Fundacja Sztuka i Technologia (Art and Technology Foundation) as a music entrepreneur. Jarek founded Warsaw Electronic Festival in 2001 and I had an intriguing idea to move the festival out of Warsaw to show people in other cities of Poland how many excellent electronic, electroacoustic and experimental artists are present on the WEF stage.

Warsaw Electronic Festival on Tour (WEF on Tour) was a series of concerts organised in the biggest and most important cities of Poland. The concerts were organised only by the Foundation in 2007 and 2008 but in 2009 the mobile phone network 36.6 sponsored the tour. During the 24 concerts the audience could listen to ambient and experimental sounds as well as the club and techno productions of over 50 artists and watch the visual creations of over 20 VJs outside the capital city of Poland. We didn’t organise another tour in 2010 and 2011, but we think that the idea may come back one day and again the whole project will be alive.

Although we don’t organise WEF on Tour concerts anymore we decided to make one exception. One of the artists who has always been very active on the WEF stage, i.e. Vasen Piparjuuri has a friend who suffers from multiple sclerosis. Without thinking for a long time the decision was taken to organise one big charity concert in Częstochowa (PL), to raise some money for his treatment.

The concert called Sclerosis Multiplex - Warsaw Electronic Festival for Przemek Ciszek was organised on 7th May 2011 in Cafe Belg. We managed to collect some money for the ill friend. Although he was in hospital at that time, he could watch and listen to all artists via Skype.

I played first and not for a long time. Now you can listen to the mastered version of this concert, thanks to my friend Krzysztof Orluk, who used his analogue toys to prepare the mastering.

I would like to thank all WEF friends who were present on that day in Cafe Belg and of course all people who came to listen to us and support Przemek.
